Consumer Residential Team Lead

Responsibilities: Oversees and manages of all loan booking for all consumer and residential loans, including the processing of all initial disbursements. Provides loan payoff requests to the appropriate party in a timely manner and processing of loan payoffs as they are received. Oversees paying property and school taxes for all residential loans to ensure all taxes are paid on time and paying of interim tax bills as they are received. Ensures that customer inquiries have been handled to the satisfaction of our internal and external customers. Responsible for making sure that the SLA for the Loan Servicing Mailbox is being honored. Responsible for the oversight of all consumer and residential maintenance to ensure that it is accurate and properly documented. Assists with the Loan Operations Call Center to ensure that customers calls are answered in a timely manner with professionalism and accuracy. Works closely with the Loan Quality ControlTeam Lead and Manager to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and supervision of the Loan Servicing department. Establishes employee goals to conform to responsibilitiesassociated with the job. Ensure reviews are performed timely and attendance is accurately recorded.  Mentor employees and provide training or corrective action when necessary.  Cross-training of staff members. Analyzes and research complex loan problems and make recommendations for resolution. Maintains all controls that safeguard against consumer privacy, fraud prevention and monetary losses to the bank for non-compliance with federal, state consumer regulations, as well as SOX requirements. Assists the Loan Operations manager and the Consumer Residential Loan Operations Manager with projects including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, process improvements, new systems and tracking volume and error ratios. Requirements: College degree with concentration in Business Administration, Accounting / Finance Minimum of 8 years prior supervisory experience in mortgage and consumer loan servicing, investorreporting and documentation review. Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience of a diverse department of individuals in a time sensitive environment. Knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, residential and consumer loan documentation and other regulatory requirements for consumer and residential loans. Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written skills. Understanding of HAMP or other like governmental loan programs. Advance skills in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
