Responsible for reviewing and analyzing capital projects falling into assigned categories; Responsible for summarizing account analyses of property as well as tying into control totals and posting to CPR ledgers. Performs general accounting functions in support of monthly accounting close for leased assets and responsible for maintaining leased asset subledger.


1. Prepares account reconciliations between subledger and general ledger accounts as assigned, in proper form and identifying and resolving reconciling items.

2. Responsible for maintaining and closing of the leased asset subledger on a monthly basis. Enters new lease information into leased asset subledger based on data provided by local accounting teams using tools to upload data. Reviews to ensure lease information is accurately recorded by generating and reviewing lease reports.

3. Reconciles lease liability and leased asset to subledger on a monthly basis. Provides lease reports to state accounting departments as required. Maintains complete file of lease agreements and supporting documentation for leases tracked in leased asset subledger. At least by quarter end, confirms with all local accounting teams as to completeness of leases recorded in leased asset subledger.

4. Analyze fixed asset accounts and miscellaneous equipment projects as assigned; post data to CPR ledgers

5. Assist Accounting Department with the following reports: Annual PUC Report, annual financial audit, and rate cases.


Bachelors degree in a business-related field and at least three years of experience in accounting preferred; or Associates degree in a business-related field and at least five years of experience working in accounting. Exposure to utility accounting preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
